Change of plans

After 36 hours in the hospital the cervix does not open any futher. It stopped at 8 cm. Now we are waiting for the room to clear to do the c-section. At least Emily got some more medicine so she can rest a little. Hopefully the next time I open up the computer this will be over. Bernd

Still going

Thursday 10am. We are still in the same room. The pitocin was stopped for a couple hours to give Emily some rest. They started at 4am to induce again. Around 9am they broke the water and now we are hoping that the contractions are getting more severe. If that behaviour is a sign of how the two little ones will be .......ohhh my. We are in trouble!

The day of truth

We arrived at the hospital at 8am. Emily got hocked up with all the nice things. Pitocin was started around 10am. Since 1pm she has contractions about every 2min. Unfortunately she is not allowed to eat anymore, so hopefully the boys will hurry up.

The last night

This is our last night as we used to know it. Pet the dog, play with the cats, eat dinner, ......
Tomorrow morning we will go to the hospital at 8am and after that our life will change forever! It will be very interresting.

GRADUATION...We Made it Girls!!!

After two long years in graduate school, I have finally made it...even pregnant. Thanks to the support of my husband, family, and friends I was able to graduate on time despite preterm labor and modified bedrest. Who would have thought!!
